Chow Down For Chandler

Chandler Pratt, a tender-hearted, loving 10-year-old boy with Autism, is passionate about raising funds for the Burrell Autism Center. This incredible organization offers vital resources, support, and services for individuals and families affected by autism. For the past four years, Chandler’s birthday wish has been to make a difference, and with the help of his amazing community, he has raised over $22,000 for the Burrell Autism Center, contributing to the opening of a second Autism Center.

As you may know, Autism is a complex neurological disorder that affects millions of people around the world. It can be challenging for families to navigate the various treatments and therapies available, and that's where the Burrell Autism Center comes in. With your support, Chandler hopes to raise enough funds to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by Autism–just like him.

The History

The idea was born

When Chandler was 4 years old, he was learning to navigate a world that often felt overwhelming. Diagnosed with autism, he faced unique challenges, but with the support of the Burrell Autism Center, he found a place where he could grow, learn, and thrive. Chandler, at the age of 7, wanted to give back. With his birthday falling in April—Autism Awareness Month—he’s on a mission to celebrate his birthday by raising money and awareness so that other children like him can receive the same life-changing services that have helped him on his journey.

Arpil 13th - Bingo Night

First Annual Chow Down For Chandler Bingo Night

What an incredible event! $6,706.75 in total raised in the month of April for Burrell Autism Center! Maso Pizza Bar hosted our Bingo fundraising event & donated a portion of pizza sales throughout Autism Awareness Month, making this total donation possible. Chandler even worked with his therapy group at Burrell to brainstorm ways the funds could enhance the Autism Center’s services!

April 13 & April 30 - Bingo Nights

Our second year was better than the first! Another incredible April filled with generosity and support! We were truly blown away by the outpouring of kindness. A huge thank you to the Gilardis and the amazing MASO crew for once again donating a portion of pizza sales throughout the month April and hosting both bingo nights. Together, we raised an incredible $9,241.50 for the Burrell Autism Center! Our hearts are full.

3rd Annual - Largest Bingo Night to Date!

Our 3rd annual event was a record-breaking success! This April, we were overwhelmed by the incredible generosity and support from our community. A huge shoutout to the Gilardis and the amazing MASO crew for their continued dedication—donating a portion of pizza sales all month long and hosting our biggest bingo night yet. Thanks to everyone who participated, we raised an amazing $6,759.00 for the Burrell Autism Center!

New Burrell Autism Center Ribbon Cutting

Due to the funds raised by Chow Down for Chandler, Burrell Behavioral Health expanded its autism services in Springfield by opening a second Autism center at 1370 E. Primrose St. The expansion aims to address the growing need for autism services in the region, offering tailored programs and support to help individuals navigate various life transitions and challenges.

The opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing Burrell's commitment to enhancing resources and support for the autism community in Springfield. We were honored to have Arwen speak at the event and for Chandler to cut the ribbon!!
